Thanks, grandma! This recipe was given to me by my grams a couple of years ago. She used to cook this all the time. I was so impressed with how delicious this dish is. Little did I know that she only used two ingredients for this. Yes, you read it right. Two basic ingredients that will surely make your lunch or dinner awesome! I have listed all the things you will be needing so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Have a wonderful day, friends, and I hope you all love and appreciate this recipe today. Don’t forget to share this with your loved ones as well. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1.5 c (12 ounces) BBQ sauce*, either homemade or store-bought
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 3 pounds)
Directions:
1. Arrange the chicken breasts into the slow cooker.
2. Add the BBQ sauce over the chicken, then toss until well coated.
3. Cover the slow cooker, then cook the chicken breasts for about 6 to 8 hours on a low setting or 3 to 4 hours on a high setting. Once the chicken breasts are fork-tender, then they are good to go.
4. Use two forks to shred the chicken breasts into small pieces.
5. Put the shredded chicken back to the slow cooker and toss until well coated by the delicious sauce.
6. Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
You can serve this as is or on buns. Either way, it’s perfect!
Feel free to make this dish gluten-free. You can use gluten-free BBQ sauce if you wish.
Feel free to make the sauce sweeter by adding about 1/3 cup of brown sugar.
