This recipe was given to me by my dear friend, Alexa. Oh, man, I am so glad that I gave it a try because I never would have tasted how perfect this Chocolate Cherry Dump Cake is! 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling
1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ devil’s food cake mix
3/4 c butter, melted
Whipped topping or vanilla ice cream, if desired
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 13×9-inch glass baking dish.
Step 3: Add the pie filling into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Step 4: Add the dry cake mix on top, then shake the pan a bit to mix.
Step 5: Add the melted butter on top and spread it evenly.
Step 6: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until done.
Step 7: Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool at room temperature for at least 10 minutes.
Step 8: Spread ice cream on top or whipped cream. Enjoy!
