This American Goulash is what I call perfection! Don’t believe me? Well, you just have to try this recipe and taste this dish yourself. I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Feel free to add tweak this recipe to your liking. Ingredients:
1 large onion diced
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 lbs. ground beef
4 cloves garlic minced
3 c water
1 tbsp beef base or bouillon
2 15 oz. cans of diced tomatoes (one petite diced)
2 15 oz. cans of tomato sauce
2 tbsp Italian Seasoning
2 tsp paprika
2 c elbow macaroni noodles uncooked
1 c cheddar cheese shredded
3 bay leaves
Fresh Italian parsley chopped
1 tbsp Seasoned salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Directions:
1. Place a large stockpot on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
2. Add the ground beef, then cook until crumbly and brown. Leave 2 tbsp of the accumulated grease and discard the rest.
3. Add the onions and sauté until translucent.
4. Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic.
5. Add the canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, beef base, bay leaves, soy sauce, Italian seasoning, paprika, seasoned salt, paprika, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed and allow the mixture to boil.
6. Turn the heat down to low and simmer for about 20 minutes.
7. Add the noodles, then cover the pot and cook for about 15 minutes or until firm to bite. Make sure to stir from time to time.
8. Add the cheese and stir until well mixed.
9. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top.
10. Serve and enjoy!
