Tender and juicy chicken with amazing garlic and Parmesan cheese flavor that is baked to golden and crispy perfection. A versatile dish that pairs great with just about anything!
Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese – softened
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast cutlets
1/2 c. sour cream or Greek yogurt
4 cloves garlic, crushed through a garlic press
1 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese – divided into 2 half c.
1/2 c. mozzarella cheese
Fresh chopped parsley – optional garnish
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
How to make Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F. Ready a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Grease with butter and set aside.
Step 2: Place the softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese in a medium bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 3: In the prepared baking dish, place the chicken breasts flat. On top of the chicken, spread the cheese mixture and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and the rest of the half c. Parmesan.
Step 4: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 to 35 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.
Step 5: Remove from the oven when done and serve the baked garlic, Parmesan chicken immediately garnished with some fresh parsley. Enjoy with your preferred sides.
Notes:
For this recipe, the best cut to use is thinner cuts of chicken. If using thick chicken breasts, slice them in half lengthwise.
You can also use chicken strips and chicken thighs. Make sure that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F once cooked.
In an airtight container, store any leftovers and keep them in the fridge for up to 3 to 4 days or freeze them for up to 1 month.
This baked garlic, Parmesan chicken pairs well with just about anything! This is great with broccoli, asparagus, or green beans. You can also serve this over a simple pasta tossed in a little amount of olive oil or melted butter. I love to serve this over mashed potatoes, too!
