1 c all-purpose flour
1/2 c cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
1 1/2 c mashed bananas (about 3 medium bananas)
1 large Egg (room temperature)
1/4 c unsalted butter (melted)
1/4 c canola oil
1 c light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c large semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c walnuts (chopped)
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
Step 3: Add the cocoa powder, flour, sea salt, and baking powder into a medium bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 4: In another mixing bowl, add the ripe bananas. Use a fork to mash them.
Step 5: Add the melted butter, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Stir until well mixed.
Step 6: Add the brown sugar and whisk until well mixed.
Step 7: Transfer the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Use a spatula to stir until just mixed.
Step 8: Add the chopped walnuts and 3/4 cup of chocolate chips. Stir until well mixed.
Step 9: Pour the batter into the greased pan and spread it evenly.
Step 10: Sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chips over the batter.
Step 11: Place the pan inside the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.
Step 12: Remove the bread from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Step 13: Slice into small cuts.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
