Oh, man! I love this dish so much! You have got to give this one a try, I’m telling you! Feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
4 teaspoons packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon freshly minced ginger
Cooked white rice, for serving
Directions:
Step 1: Add the sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, and cornstarch into a medium mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 2: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to high.
Step 3: Add 2 tablespoons of oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 4: Add the flank steak, salt, and pepper. Cook each side for 4 minutes. Transfer the steak onto a clean plate.
Step 5: In the same skillet, add the rest of the oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 6: Add the green and red bell peppers and sauté for 4 minutes or until translucent.
Step 7: Add the ginger and garlic. Sauté for about 2 minutes or until aromatic.
Step 8: Put the steak back to the skillet together with the mixed sauce. Stir and cook for 2 minutes or until done.
Step 9: Remove the skillet from the heat.
Step 10: Serve the pepper steak with the sauce over rice. Enjoy!
