These heavenly treats never fail to amaze me every time! You have got to give this amazing recipe a try! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Serve these hot wings with your favourite dip. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
24 chicken wings with skin rinsed and patted dry (approx. 3 lbs.)
RUB
2 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp baking powder
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp ground celery seed
2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
TRADITIONAL BUFFALO HOT WINGS SAUCE
2/3 c Frank’s ORIGINAL Hot Sauce (NOT hot wings sauce) mixed with 2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp butter
(Hot sauce unites with a touch of molasses for the traditional hot wings flavour)
BUFFALO HONEY HOT WINGS SAUCE
1/2 c honey
2-3 tbsp Frank’s Hot WINGS Sauce (NOT original hot sauce like above) mixed with 2 tsp cornstarch
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp molasses
(Honey is the dominant ingredient in this sauce for sticky hot wings while still being hot by using Hot WINGS sauce)
BUFFALO MILD HONEY HOT WINGS
1/4 c honey
1 tbsp butter
2/3 c Frank’s ORIGINAL Hot Sauce (NOT hot wings sauce) mixed with 2 tsp cornstarch
1-3 tsp Hot Wings Sauce (Optional for hotter wings)
1 tbsp molasses
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
2. Line with aluminium foil on a baking sheet.
3. Place a baking rack over the baking sheet, then apply cooking spray to it.
4. Add all the ingredients for the Rub into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended.
5. Add 1/2 of the rub mixture inside a large resealable bag.
6. Add 1/2 of the wings inside the bag, then shake it until well coated by the rub.
7. Arrange the chicken wings onto the prepared baking rack. Make sure to leave a small space between each wing. Repeat the process with the rest of the rub mixture and chicken wings.
8. Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake the chicken wings for about 50 minutes or until done.
9. Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest at room temperature while you make the sauce.
For the Sauce:
1. Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
2. Add butter and allow it to melt.
3. Add the rest of the sauce and stir until well blended. Allow the mixture to boil.
4. Turn the heat down to low, then simmer for about 5 minutes or until the texture of the sauce becomes thick.
5. Add more seasonings and other ingredients if needed.
6. Add the chicken wings into a large bowl, then pour the delicious sauce over them. Toss until well coated.
7. Serve and enjoy!
