Ingredients:
For the Cajun Seasoning:
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp mild paprika
3/4 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp onion powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp chilli powder, add more if you like heat
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2-3/4 tsp cayenne pepper, add more if you like heat
1/2 tsp brown sugar KETO: use a brown sugar substitute
1/4 tsp cracked black pepper to taste
For the Steak:
1/4 c butter
1-2 tbsp canola oil, divided
4 cloves garlic finely chopped
23 ounces (650 g) steak, cut into 2-inch cubes (Sirloin, Rump, New York Strip, Porterhouse or Ribeye)
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the Cajun seasoning. Whisk until well mixed.
2. Add the steak cubes into the bowl with the seasoning, then toss until well coated.
3. Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
4. Add 2 tsp of oil and allow it to become hot.
5. Add the steak cubes and cook each side for about 3 minutes or until they turn brown. Make sure to cook them in batches. Remove from the skillet onto a clean plate.
6. In the same skillet, add butter and allow it to melt.
7. Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic. Scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the brown bits as well.
8. Remove the skillet from the heat, then put the steak back. Toss until well coated by the garlic butter.
9. Serve and enjoy!
