This Cajun Chicken Pasta is my ultimate comfort food! I got this recipe from the internet a couple of years ago. Now, I get to share it with you as well. How awesome is that? Well, I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! As perfect as this recipe already is, feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. I am sure that you can do a lot to make this recipe even better! Ingredients:
2-3 chicken breasts, cut into chunks
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
8 ounces bow tie pasta
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 teaspoons Cajun seasoning, more or less to taste
3/4 c freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 c milk
1 yellow bell pepper, cut into slices
1 red bell pepper, cut into slices
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Place a large pot with salted water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
2. Add the pasta and cook for a few minutes until firm to bite. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
3. Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
4. Add butter and allow it to melt.
5. Add the minced garlic and sauté until aromatic.
6. Add the chicken pieces, Cajun seasoning, bell peppers, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the chicken turns brown.
7. Add the softened cream cheese and milk, then stir until well blended.
8. Toss in the cooked pasta until well coated.
9. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until well mixed.
10. Serve hot with garlic bread. Enjoy!
