Ingredients:
4 cups peeled and sliced potatoes
2 cups diced ham
½ onion, chopped
2 cups milk
1 cup frozen peas
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley
¼ lb Cheddar cheese, diced
1 pinch paprika, or to taste
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
2. Place these ingredients in order. 1/2 of the potatoes, 1/2 of the ham, and 1/2 of the onion into a 2-quart baking dish. Repeat the process until everything is arranged in layers.
3. Place a saucepan on the stove, then add butter, milk, flour, peas, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Turn the heat to medium, then stir until well mixed and thick for about 10 minutes.
5. Add Cheddar cheese and stir until melted completely.
6. Remove from the heat, then pour the mixture on top of the ingredients in the baking dish.
7. Cover everything with foil.
8. Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
9. Remove the cover and bake for another 15 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
10. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
11. Serve and enjoy!
