Ingredients:
cooking spray (such as Pam®)
1 (8 oz) package refrigerated crescent rolls (such as Pillsbury® Grands! Big and Flaky)
2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
1 c white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon, divided
1 (12 oz) can cherry pie filling
1 (18.5 oz) package yellow cake mix (such as Duncan Hines®)
¾ c unsalted butter, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 160 degrees C or 325 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch glass baking dish.
Step 3: Add the crescent roll into the prepared baking dish and unroll it.
Step 4: In a mixing bowl, add the white sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla extract. Beat until well mixed.
Step 5: Spread the mixture over the dough.
Step 6: Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar on top of the cream cheese.
Step 7: Spread the cherry pie filling on top, then sprinkle the cake mix on top.
Step 8: Place the slices of butter on top of the cake mix layer, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon.
Step 9: Use aluminium foil to cover the baking dish.
Step 10: Place the baking dish inside the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until done.
Step 11: Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool at room temperature.
Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
