This Chocolate Buttercream Frosting is simply the best! I will never get tired of recommending this with my friends because it is just too perfect that I want everyone to have a taste of it! I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. Ingredients:
1 cup salted butter (at room temperature)
3 ½-4 c powdered sugar
½ c unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
2-3 tbsp whole milk, half-and-half, or cream
Directions:
1. Add butter into an electric mixer, beat for 3 minutes or until the texture becomes creamy.
2. Add the cocoa powder, 2 tbsp of milk, vanilla, 3 1/2 cups of powdered sugar. Beat until well blended.
3. Add more milk if the texture of the frosting is too dry.
4. If the texture is too wet, add more powdered sugar.
5. Spread over cake. Enjoy!
Notes:
1. Feel free to use unsalted butter for this recipe.
2. Make sure to place the butter at room temperature before beating.
3. Make sure to sift the cocoa powder and sugar if they are too lumpy.
4. You can use heavy cream for this recipe instead of milk. They both work perfectly.
