This Chocolate Cobbler is my favourite! This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. This was my Grandma’s ultimate recipe! I was always excited to go to her house for a couple of reasons but mainly because of this delicious treat! Anyway, I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you have to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter, unsalted
1 cup self-rising flour
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1/2 cup whole milk
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups boiling water
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
2. Add butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish, then place it inside the preheating oven and allow it to melt.
3. In a mixing bowl, add flour, 1 1/2 tablespoons of cocoa, and 3/4 cup of sugar. Whisk until well mixed.
4. Add milk and vanilla extract, then stir until well blended.
5. Remove the baking dish from the oven, then spread the flour mixture over the butter.
6. In the same bowl, add the rest of the sugar and cocoa powder. Whisk until well mixed.
7. Sprinkle the mixture on top of the batter.
8. Gently pour the boiling water on top.
9. Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until done.
10. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
11. Serve and enjoy!
