1 & 2/3 c all-purpose flour
1/3 c unsweetened natural cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 stick (1/2 c) unsalted butter
4 oz unsweetened chocolate
4 large Eggs
1 & 1/2 c granulated sugar
Powdered sugar for rolling the cookies (about 1 c)
Step 1: Add flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt into a small mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined.
Step 2: Place a small pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium-low.
Step 3: Add the chocolate and butter, then allow it to melt. Make sure to stir from time to time, then remove from the heat.
Step 4: Add the sugar and eggs into a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined.
Step 5: Add the melted butter-chocolate mixture, then whisk until well mixed.
Step 6: Add the flour mixture a little at a time and whisk until well combined.
Step 7: Cover the entire bowl with plastic wrap.
Step 8: Place it inside the fridge to chill for about 2 hours.
Step 9: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 10: Line with parchment paper a baking sheet.
Step 11: In a small mixing bowl, add 1 cup of sugar.
Step 12: Make small balls out of the dough and roll toss them into the bowl with sugar. Make sure to coat them generously.
Step 13: Arrange the sugar-coated balls onto the prepared baking sheet. Make sure to leave a 2-inch space between each ball.
Step 14: Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake for 16 to 20 minutes or until done.
Step 15: Remove from the oven.
Step 16: Serve and enjoy!
