If you are looking for a new and easy cake recipe to try, then this is your lucky day! I give you this awesome Construction Site Cake! Yes, you read it right! I am sure that your kids will love this! Just last week, I made this for my son’s birthday and he couldn’t be happier! Anyway, feel free to add more ingredients if you want. Have a wonderful day, friends, and I hope you are all well today. 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ chocolate cake mix
Water, vegetable oil, and eggs called for on the cake mix box
2 containers Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy or Whipped chocolate frosting
1 container Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting
Orange food colour
Green food colour
4 pieces candy corn
3 new small plastic toy trucks
2 tbsp chocolate-covered rock-shaped candy
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in two 8-inch cake pans.
Step 3: Refer to the directions provided on the cake mix on how to bake it.
Step 4: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes.
Step 5: Remove from the pan and allow it to cool completely for about 1 hour.
Step 6: Put a cake onto a serving plate.
Step 7: Add 1/2 container of vanilla frosting and 2 containers of chocolate frosting into a mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
Step 8: Spread 1/2 of the frosting over the first cake, then top it with the second cake.
Step 9: Spread a bit of the frosting on top and sides of the cakes.
Step 10: Place it inside the fridge to chill for about 1/2 hour to 1 hour.
Step 11: Remove about a quarter of the top of the cake with a knife.
Step 12: Place the quarter of a cake into a mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup of the frosting. Mix until well combined.
Step 13: Frost the entire cake with the “dirt” effect frosting.
Step 14: Mix orange food colour with 1/3 cup of vanilla until well blended.
Step 15: Arrange over the cake. These will serve as construction cones.
Step 16: Mix green food colour with 1/2 cup of vanilla, then decorate the cake with it. It will serve as grass.
Step 17: Decorate the cake more to make it look like a construction site.
Step 18: Serve and enjoy!
