Ingredients:
8 ounces medium pasta shells
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1/2 medium onion diced
2 cloves garlic minced
1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 c beef stock
15 ounces can tomato sauce
3/4 c heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste
6 oz extra-sharp cheddar cheese shredded, about 1 1/2 c
Directions:
Step 1: Place a large pot with salted water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
Step 2: Add the pasta and cook until al dente.
Step 3: Drain the pasta and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 4: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 5: Add the ground beef and cook for 5 minutes or until crumbly and brown. Discard any excess grease.
Step 6: Add onion and sauté until translucent.
Step 7: Add the garlic, mustard powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Stir and cook until aromatic.
Step 8: Add flour and whisk until well mixed and brown.
Step 9: Add the tomato sauce and beef stock. Whisk until well mixed, then simmer on low heat until the texture becomes thick.
Step 10: Add the beef, pasta, and heavy cream. Stir until well combined.
Step 11: Add cheese and stir until melted completely. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
