The rich garlic flavour of this dish is so good! Lunch and dinner will be awesome again with this Creamy Garlic Chicken. Enjoy!
2 large chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise
Flour for dredging
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter divided
1 whole head garlic cloves peeled
1/2 c chicken broth or stock
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 c heavy/whipping cream
Salt & pepper to taste
Parsley chopped (optional)
Step 1: Slice the chicken into four small cuts.
Step 2: In a small mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 3: Coat the chicken cutlets with the flour mixture.
Step 4: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 5: Add in 1 tablespoon of butter and olive oil. Allow the butter to melt.
Step 6: Add in the chicken cutlets and cook for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 7: Place the cooked chicken cutlets on a clean plate, then set aside.
Step 8: Turn the heat down to medium and add the remaining butter into the skillet.
Step 9: Add in the garlic cloves and cook them for about 3 minutes or until aromatic.
Step 10: Add in the chicken broth, garlic powder, and lemon juice, then simmer for about 4 minutes or until it starts to bubble.
Step 11: Add in the cream and stir until well combined.
Step 12: Put the chicken cutlets back to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes more or until the sauce has reduced.
Step 13: Remove from the heat.
Step 14: Sprinkle chopped parsley on top of each serving.
Step 15: Serve and enjoy!
