Ingredients:
2 (25 oz) jars of pasta sauce
15 ounces tomato sauce
1 lb UNCOOKED penne pasta
15 ounces ricotta cheese
2 Eggs
1/3 c freshly chopped basil
2 c of freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions:
Step 1: In a mixing bowl, add the eggs, ricotta, and basil. Stir until well mixed.
Step 2: In another mixing bowl, add the tomato sauce and the jars of pasta sauce. Stir until well mixed.
Step 3: Grate the Parmesan cheese and place them into a mixing bowl.
Step 4: Apply cooking spray in a 6-quart slow cooker.
Step 5: Add 2 1/3 cups of the pasta sauce into the prepared slow cooker and spread it on the bottom, then put the uncooked penne over.
Step 6: Spread 1/2 of the ricotta mixture on top.
Step 7: Add 1 cup of the Parmesan cheese, 2 1/3 cups of the sauce, and the rest of the uncooked penne pasta.
Step 8: Add the rest of the ricotta over and spread it evenly.
Step 9: Spread the rest of the sauce on top.
Step 10: Cover the slow cooker and cook for 3 hours or until the pasta is firm to bite.
Step 11: Add the rest of the cheese over, then cover. Allow the cheese to melt.
Step 12: Serve hot and enjoy!
