I have never tried anything like this before! I am so grateful to my sister for giving this recipe to me! Oh, man, you have got to give this one a try, I’m telling you! Ingredients:
1 stick (1/2 c) unsalted butter
1 1/2 c granulated sugar (divided)
2 c all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 c whole milk
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
1 (29-oz) can sliced peaches in juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
2. Brush with butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
3. In a microwavable bowl, add the butter.
4. Place it inside the microwave and heat it until melted completely.
5. Remove from the microwave, then add baking powder, 1 cup sugar, flour, and salt. Whisk until well mixed.
6. Add vanilla and milk, then whisk until well blended.
7. Transfer the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
8. Spread the peaches over the batter. Set aside the juice.
9. In a mixing bowl, add the juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup sugar. Whisk until well mixed.
10. Pour the mixture on top of the peaches and spread it evenly.
11. Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about an hour or until the top turns golden brown.
12. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
13. Serve with your preferred ice cream flavour. Enjoy!
