Ingredients:
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted, plus more for brushing
2 c all-purpose flour, plus more as needed
2 tbsp sugar
1 (1/4-ounce) packet active dry yeast
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 c warm water (110°F)
1/2 c whole milk
Large-flake Sea salt (optional)
Directions:
1. Add the yeast, sugar, and warm water into the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat until well blended and let it rise for at least 5 minutes.
2. Add salt, 1 cup of flour, melted butter, and whole milk. Beat until well blended.
3. Add another cup of flour and beat until the mixture turns into a dough. Add more flour if needed.
4. Sprinkle flour on a flat surface.
5. Transfer the dough onto the floured area. Use your hands to knead the dough for about 2 minutes.
6. Apply cooking spray into a bowl, then transfer the dough in it.
7. Leave the dough in a warm area and let it rise for about 30 minutes.
8. Apply cooking spray in an 8-inch round pan.
9. Form 12 balls out of the dough.
10. Put the balls onto the prepared baking pan. Make sure to leave a small space between each ball.
11. Cover the balls with a towel, then put them in a dark area and allow them to rise for at least 30 minutes.
12. Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
13. Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake the balls for about 25 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
14. Remove from the oven, then brush each roll with melted butter. Sprinkle a bit of salt on top.
15. Let them rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
