Cheesy, creamy, and packed with a lot more flavors, these Easy Stuffed Shells will surely become your favorite with just one bite! This recipe yields ten servings. You and your loved ones are going to enjoy these delicious treats!
Ingredients:
1 Egg
30 oz. whipped cottage cheese
6 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated
12 oz. Jumbo pasta shells
28 oz. marinara sauce
8 oz. mozzarella cheese, grated
1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp kosher salt
1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper
3/4 c fresh basil leaves, finely chopped (about 8 to 10 leaves)
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.
2. Apply cooking spray to a 9×13-inch baking dish.
3. Add 1/2 of the marinara sauce into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly to cover the bottom.
4. Place a large pot with water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
5. Add the pasta shells and a bit of salt, then cook for 3 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
6. Add Parmesan cheese, whipped cottage cheese, basil, egg, garlic, salt, pepper, and parsley into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well blended.
7. Stuff each shell with the cheese mixture.
8. Add the stuffed shells into the prepared baking dish over the marinara sauce and arrange them in a single layer.
9. Pour the rest of the marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and spread it evenly.
10. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
11. Place the baking dish inside the preheated oven and bake the stuffed shells for about 25 minutes or until the cheese turns golden brown.
12. Remove from the oven.
13. Serve and enjoy!
