HOW TO MAKE FRIED POTATOES AND ONIONS
Step 1: In a saute pan or cast-iron skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the potatoes and onions to the pan/skillet. Season with salt and pepper, then sprinkle with garlic powder and red pepper flakes.
Step 2: Cook the onions and potatoes for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring often, until browned and tender. For a creamier texture, you can cover the skillet while cooking.
Step 3: Transfer the fried potatoes and onions to a plate lined with paper towels when done. Right before serving, garnish with some chives. Enjoy these fried potatoes and onions for either breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
Tips:
1. For more flavor, cook the potatoes and onions in butter or bacon grease instead of oil. You can also toss in some chopped dill.
2. Serve the fried potatoes and onions with ketchup or garlic aioli or honey mustard sauce.
