Every bite of these heavenly treats will bring joy to you! Today, I finally decided to give this recipe a try. I have been wanting to try this ever since my friend gave me the recipe to it. I happened to have strawberries at home so I immediately bought the rest of the ingredients. I am so glad that I have the recipe because I never would have tasted a piece of heaven! I only used fresh and ripe strawberries because they give the best flavor. If you feel like adding your preferred ingredients, by all means, do so. Give it your take! Make sure to adjust the recipe if you are having more guests because I am sure that this will be a total hit!
2 (10 ounces) packages puff pastry shells
2 pounds fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
½ cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups heavy cream
Step 1: Refer to the directions written on the box of the frozen pastry shells to bake. Set aside the tops for garnish.
Step 2: Slice lengthwise the strawberries into medium-thin cuts.
Step 3: Sprinkle about 1 tablespoon of sugar. Allow it to chill in a medium mixing bowl.
Step 4: In a large mixing bowl, add in the vanilla, 1/2 cup of sugar, and cream cheese. Beat until well mixed and smooth.
Step 5: In another large mixing bowl, add in whip cream for 3 minutes or until stiff peaks form.
Step 6: Transfer the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Stir until blended then allow it to chill.
Step 7: Fill each pastry with the cream cheese mixture. Repeat this method until all the pastries are filled. Top each with the strawberries.
Step 8: Serve and enjoy!
