Yield: 6 to 8 Servings

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium onion, halved and cut into 1/2″ wedges and separated
3 1/2 pounds boneless beef chuck roast, cut into LARGE chunks bigger than bite-sized
1/8 c A1 Original Steak Sauce
2 c beef broth
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons butter cut up
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic (2 large cloves)
half of a 1 oz. envelope French Onion Soup Mix such as Lipton’s
1/2 tablespoon horseradish
1/2 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
1 1/2 teaspoons coarse ground black pepper
1 (8 ounces) container fresh sliced mushrooms
2 tbsp cold water
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 (24 ounces) bag Reames Home-Style Frozen Egg Noodles, cooked and drained
1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1 teaspoon more kosher salt or to taste
Directions:
1. Slice the roast into large cuts and discard any excess fat.
2. Place a frying pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
3. Season the roast pieces with 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.
4. Add the roast and sear until they turn brown.
5. Add the onion, broth, A-1, garlic, horseradish, soup mix, butter, mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed and allow the mixture to boil.
6. Cover the pan and simmer everything for about 1 1/2 hours. Stir again until well blended.
7. Add the mushrooms and simmer for another 15 minutes.
8. Add the slurry and stir until the texture of the sauce becomes thick. Cover and remove from the heat.
9. Place a large pot with salted water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
10. Add noodles and cook until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Add the drained noodles into the pot. Toss everything until well combined.
11. Serve with garlic bread and veggies on the side. Enjoy!
