Homemade Easy Focaccia Bread Recipe

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 13 mins | Total Time: 23 mins | Yield: 3 Servings

This Focaccia Bread is superb! I love serving it with my favourite hot coffee! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Feel free to add more ingredients and give it your take. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 c all-purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp dry active yeast
1/2 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 c warm water you may need less
Topping:
Flake sea salt
1 tbsp rosemary fresh or dry
1 ½ tbsp olive oil

Directions:

Step 1: In a small mixing bowl, add the yeast, sugar, and water. Whisk until well combined. Cover and allow it to rise for about 10 minutes.

Step 2: In another mixing bowl, add the salt and flour. Moderately add the yeast mixture.

Step 3: Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.

Step 4: Add olive oil and knead for another 3 minutes.

Step 5: Cover the bowl and allow the dough to rise again for 1 hour 30 minutes in a warm area.

Step 6: Knead the risen dough for a minute.

Step 7: Apply baking spray on a baking sheet.

Step 8: Roll the dough into your preferred shape and lay it on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 9: Cover the baking sheet and allow the dough to rise again for about 30 minutes.

Step 10: Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.

Step 11: Poke small and shallow holes on the dough’s surface.

Step 12: Brush the dough with olive oil and season with rosemary and salt.

Step 13: Place the focaccia bread inside the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 13 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Step 14: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.

Step 15: Serve warm. Enjoy!
