These amazing Garlic Knots are so satisfying! Serve them as is or with pasta and you have yourself a meal to remember. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
For the dough:
3 and 3/4 c bread flour
1 and 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
1 envelope active dry yeast
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 c warm water, 110 – 115 degrees (F)
2 tbsp plus 2 tsp olive oil, divided
For the garlic coating:
1 stick unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c fresh parsley, minced
1 and 1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 c Parmesan cheese, grated
Directions:
To Make the Dough:
Step 1: Add the sugar, bread flour, yeast, salt, and sugar into the bowl of the stand mixer. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 2: Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and warm water. Beat on low speed until well mixed.
Step 3: Note: Add more flour if the texture of the dough is too sticky and more water if it is too dry.
Step 4: Transfer the dough onto a flat surface and knead to a ball shape.
Step 5: Add 2 teaspoons of olive oil into a large bowl and spread it all over.
Step 6: Put the dough into the greased bowl, then cover it with plastic wrap. Allow it to rest for at least 90 minutes at room temperature to rise.
Step 7: Transfer the dough onto a flat surface sprinkled with flour. Cut it into 2 even slices.
Step 8: Put each dough onto a plastic wrap and allow them to sit again for another 10 minutes.
Step 9: Sprinkle flour over each dough and cut them into four, then into two. You should get 16 pieces.
Step 10: Shape each dough into a ball, then tie each to create a knot.
Step 11: Arrange the knots onto the prepared baking sheet and cover it with plastic wrap. Allow them to rest for another 30 minutes.
Step 12: Prepare the oven and preheat to 230 degrees C or 450 degrees F.

Step 14: Place the garlic knots inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 15: Remove from the oven and allow them to cool at room temperature.
Step 16: Brush each knot with the garlic coating and sprinkle a generous amount of cheese on top.
Step 17: Serve and enjoy!
To Make the Garlic Coating:
Step 1: Place a small pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-low.
Step 2: Add butter and allow it to melt.
Step 3: Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute or until aromatic.
Step 4: Add the parsley and season it with garlic salt. Stir until well mixed.
Step 5: Remove the pan from the heat.
