The perfect snacks that you will serve today are these delicious Homemade Soft Pretzel Bites! Serve them with your favorite cup of coffee. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/3 c baking soda
2 Tablespoons sugar
1.5 c warm water
3.5 c all-purpose flour
salt
1 packet of dry active yeast
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of water and yeast. Stir until well blended. Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for at least 5 minutes.
2. Add sugar and stir until well blended.
3. In a large mixing bowl, add the flour and create a well or a hole in the middle.
4. Add the yeast into the well.
5. Use your clean hands to mix everything until it forms into a dough.
6. Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, then place the dough on it. Knead for a few minutes.
7. Slice the dough into 6 even pieces. Roll each into 1-inch ropes.
8. Slice each piece into 1-inch cuts.
9. Place a large pot with water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
10. Add the baking soda, then turn the heat down to medium.
11. Add the pretzels to the hot water, then cook for about 15 seconds on each side. Make sure to flip them to cook the other sides.
12. Transfer the pretzels onto a plate lined with paper towels.
13. Sprinkle a generous amount of salt over the pretzels.
14. Apply cooking spray to an Air Fryer. Preheat to 390 degrees F.
15. Add the pretzels into the Air Fryer, then cook for about 5 minutes or until done. Make sure to cook them in batches to prevent overcrowding.
16. Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
You can bake these pretzels for about 5 to 8 minutes at 425 degrees F.
Place the leftover dough into an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. They can last up to 3 days.
