If you love tortillas with a delicious dip, then you have got to give this recipe a try! This Homemade White Queso Dip is my ultimate favourite dip! My friends and family could not get enough of how delicious this is. I have listed all the things you will be needing so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Serve this with tortillas, and you have yourself a meal to remember! By the way, if you want a spicy version, use older jalapenos. They are spicier compared to younger ones. Ingredients:
1 1/2 c heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter
8 ounces Pepper Jack cheese block
A pinch of cayenne
4 ounces sharp white cheddar cheese block
2 jalapenos
1 large red bell pepper
3 garlic cloves
Salt
1/4 c diced green onion
Directions:
1. Use a grater to prepare the cheeses.
2. Slice the jalapenos in half and remove the seeds.
3. Mince the garlic, then thinly slice the green onions and bell pepper.
4. Place a heavy pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium-low.
5. Add butter and allow it to melt.
6. Add the garlic and peppers, then sauté until aromatic and soft.
7. Sprinkle flour on top of the sauteed veggies.
8. Pour in the heavy whipping cream and whisk continuously until well blended.
9. Add the grated cheeses and stir until well blended.
10. Add the green onions, cayenne pepper, and a bit of salt. Stir until well combined.
11. Remove from the stove.
12. Serve immediately with tortilla chips and enjoy!
