Ingredients:
BREAD PUDDING
2 cups whole milk
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
3 Eggs
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups bread, torn into pieces (any bread, although french bread or raisin bread is great)
1/4 cup raisins
SAUCE
1 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 tablespoon flour
dash(es) salt
Directions:
To Make the Bread:
1. Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
2. Add milk and allow it to become hot. Add butter and stir until melted and well blended. Remove from the heat.
3. In a mixing bowl, add eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon. Whisk until well mixed.
4. Add the milk gradually and beat every addition until well combined.
5. Break up the bread into small pieces, then put them into a casserole dish.
6. Spread the batter over the bread, then top it with raisins.
7. Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
8. Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 50 minutes or until done.
9. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes at room temperature.
To Make the Sauce:
1. Place a saucepan on the stove, then add all the ingredients for the sauce.
2. Turn the heat to medium, then allow the mixture to boil. Make sure to stir continuously.
3. Remove from the heat and allow it to cool at room temperature.
4. Spread the sauce over the bread and let it stand for a few minutes.
5. Serve and enjoy!
