This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. I remember my Grandma used to cook this all the time! I am so glad that she gave me this incredible recipe because now, I get to share it with you! How awesome is that? Anyway, feel free to add more ingredients if you prefer. I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! Serve this luscious dish over rice and you have yourself a meal to remember! By the way, make sure not to overcook the shrimp. You don’t want a rubbery texture. Ingredients:
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
¼ tsp crushed chilli flakes (optional)
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced (about 1 tbsp)
¾ lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
salt, to taste
ground black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp sliced green onion (optional garnish)
cooked brown rice (to serve)
broccoli or other veggies (to serve)
Directions:
Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, add the soy sauce, chilli flakes, ginger, honey, and garlic. Stir until well mixed.
Step 2: In a separate mixing bowl, add the shrimp, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until well coated.
Step 3: Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 4: Add the shrimp and cook each side for 2 minutes or until done.
Step 5: Add the marinade mixture. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
Step 6: Serve hot and enjoy!
