These luscious Italian Sausage and Peppers are simple the best! Oh, man, you need this in your life, I’m telling you! Try this recipe now and prepare to be amazed! Ingredients:
2 tbsp Vegetable oil
1 pkg Johnsonville Naturals Mild Italian Sausage
1 green pepper, thinly sliced
1 red pepper, thinly sliced
2 sweet onions, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 (14.5-oz) can diced tomatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Directions:
1. Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
2. add vegetable oil and allow it to become hot.
3. Add the sausages and cook until brown.
4. Remove the sausages from the pan onto a clean plate.
5. In the same pan, add the onion and peppers. Saute until soft.
6. Add the garlic and saute until aromatic.
7. Slice into 1 1/2-inch piece the cooled sausages.
8. Put the sausage slices back into the pan and cook everything for another 10 minutes or until done.
9. Stuff each hoagie roll with the mixture.
10. Serve and enjoy!
