These incredible treats are superb! Oh, man, you have got to give this recipe a try!
1 pound ground beef
15 ounces can crushed tomatoes
15 ounces can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
20 large shells
15 ounces ricotta cheese
4 ounces shredded Parmesan
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 c mozzarella cheese
Step 1: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 2: Add the ground beef and cook until brown. Discard any excess grease.
Step 3: Add the onion and garlic powder. Stir until well-ground meat is well seasoned.
Step 4: Add the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce cans. Stir until well mixed, then allow the mixture to simmer.
Step 5: Refer to the directions provided on the package of the noodles on how to cook them. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 6: In a mixing bowl, add the egg, Parmesan cheese, ricotta, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir until well mixed.
Step 7: Spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a large casserole dish.
Step 8: Fill each noodle with the cheese mixture.
Step 9: Spread the rest of the meat sauce over the noodles.
Step 10: Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese on top.
Step 11: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 12: Place the dish inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until the cheese has melted completely.
Step 13: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
