Ingredients:
1 pound sausage (I use ‘Hot’)
1 pound lean ground beef
1 tsp garlic powder
2 c finely diced celery
1 large onion, finely diced
2 c long-grain white rice
2 14.5 ounces cans chicken broth
1 10.5 ounces can cream of onion soup
1 10.5 ounces can cream of celery soup
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
2. Apply cooking spray in a 13×9-inch baking dish.
3. Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
4. Add ground beef, garlic, sausage, salt, and pepper. Cook until brown.
5. Add the celery and onion, then sauté until soft.
6. In a mixing bowl, add the soups and broth. Whisk until well blended.
7. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the meat mixture, then stir until well blended. Cook for a few more minutes.
8. Add the rice and stir until well mixed.
9. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
10. Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil.
11. Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about an hour.
12. Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for at least 15 minutes. Use a fork to fluff the rice.
13. Serve and enjoy!
Note:
Make sure to use uncooked rice for this recipe.
