This spectacular Macaroni Salad recipe was my grandma’s recipe. I am so grateful to her for giving this to me because now, I get to share it with you as well. With these very basic ingredients, you will surely have the best salad ever! Always serve this chilled for the best experience. Christmas is fast approaching and I can’t wait to serve this. Ingredients:
1 cup diced ham
16 ounces shell macaroni
3/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1 16 ounces pkg frozen peas, rinsed with warm water
8 ounces cheddar cheese grated
1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
2 cups mayonnaise
1 teaspoon onion salt
Directions:
1. Place a large pot with water and a bit of salt on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.
2. Add the macaroni and cook until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
3. In a large bowl, add the mayonnaise, mustard, celery salt, and onion salt. Stir until well mixed.
4. Add the cooked macaroni, ham, peas, and cheddar cheese. Stir everything again until well mixed.
5. Place the bowl inside the fridge to chill.
6. Serve cold and enjoy!
Notes:
The macaroni salad can last up to 2 hours at room temperature given that it is not direct sunlight.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. They can last up to 5 days.
