I love this icing recipe so much! Oh, man, you have got to give it a try, I’m telling you! Feel free to add more ingredients if you wish. I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! By the way, a big thanks to my dear friend, Amy’s grams, for this awesome recipe! I remember when we were little. Her Grandma used to bake this luscious cake. I was in their house pretty much every day! I am so grateful to her for teaching me this incredible recipe! Now, I get to share it with you! I am sure that there are a lot of icing recipes out there but this one will always have a special place in my heart! Whenever I make it, I always remember my childhood days. Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
16 oz powdered sugar
cake mix, your flavour choice
Directions:
Step 1: Bake the cake.
Step 2: Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 3: Add the butter, brown sugar, milk, and salt. Stir until well mixed, then allow the mixture to boil.
Step 4: Remove the pan from the heat and add the vanilla. Stir until well blended.
Step 5: Add the powdered sugar and stir until well mixed.
Step 6: Spread the icing over the cooled cake. Make sure to add more milk if the texture gets stiff.
Step 7: Serve and enjoy!
