All you need for this recipe are these basic ingredients and you are good to go! In just about 20 minutes, you will surely enjoy this New Orleans BBQ Shrimp! I like to serve this with bread, but feel free to serve it with your preferred accompaniment. Also, feel free to add more ingredients if you wish. Ingredients:
2 tbsp butter
1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/3 c beer, wine, or broth
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 c hot sauce (or to taste)
2 tbsp butter, chilled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1/4 c Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp creole seasoning
2 tbsp lemon juice (~1/2 lemon)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
2. Add butter and allow it to melt.
3. Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic.
4. Add the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, creole seasoning, beer, lemon juice, and pepper. Stir until well mixed and allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes or until it reduces its volume.
5. Add the shrimp and cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes or until they turn pink.
6. Turn the heat down to medium-low, then add the chilled butter and allow it to melt. Sprinkle salt to season.
7. Serve hot with bread and enjoy!
Note:
I like to soak the bread into the delicious sauce. You should try it!
