Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Olive Oil
2 pounds Lean Ground Beef or Ground Turkey
1 large Yellow Onion, diced
3 large cloves Garlic, pressed or finely minced
2 Bay Leaves
1 c Low Sodium Beef Broth* (chicken broth if using ground turkey)
2 – 14.5 ounces cans Diced Tomatoes with juice
2 – 15 ounces cans Tomato Sauce
2 tsp Low Sodium Soy Sauce (or Worcestershire sauce)
2 teaspoons Seasoned Salt (such as Johnny’s®)
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
1 tablespoon Paprika
2 c Uncooked Small Elbow Macaroni
Directions:
Step 1: Place a Dutch oven on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 2: Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 3: Add the ground meat and cook for 10 minutes or until crumbly and brown.
Step 4: Discard any excess grease.
Step 5: Add the garlic, onion, and bay leaves. Stir and cook for about 4 minutes or until aromatic and translucent.
Step 6: Add the broth, tomato sauce, soy sauce, sliced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, paprika, and seasoned salt. Stir until well combined.
Step 7: Cover the pot and turn the heat down to low. Cook for about 15 minutes. Make sure to stir from time to time.
Step 8: Add the macaroni noodles and cook for about 20 minutes or until al dente.
Step 9: Discard the bay leaves.
Step 10: Serve hot and enjoy!
