Ingredients:
Pork Chops
3 tbsp olive oil
¼ c flour
4 pork chops
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon onion powder
Salt, to taste
Gravy
4 tbsp Butter
1 beef bouillon cube or 1 tsp better than bouillon
2 c chicken broth
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp low sodium soy sauce, can sub-Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp dried rosemary
¼ tsp dried sage
4 tbsp Flour
2-3 drops Kitchen Bouquet, optional
¼ tsp dried thyme
1/3 c half and half
Directions:
1. Season the pork chops with salt and rub each until well coated. Allow the pork chops to rest for about 30 minutes.
2. Wrap each pork chop with saran wrap, then use a meat mallet to gently pound each pork.
3. On a clean plate, add garlic powder, flour, paprika, and onion. Stir until well mixed.
4. In a mixing bowl, add the beef bouillon, soy sauce, seasonings, and chicken broth. Stir until well blended.
For the Pork Chops:
1. Use paper towels to pat dry the pork chops.
2. Coat each pork chop with the flour mixture and shake off any excess.
3. Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
4. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
5. Add the pork chops in batches and sear each side for about 2 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
6. Remove the pork chops from the pan onto a clean plate. Repeat the process with the rest of the pork chops. Make sure to discard any toasted/blackened flour.
For the Gravy:
1. Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
2. Add butter and allow it to melt.
3. Add the flour, then whisk and cook for about a minute.
4. Add the broth mixture and half & half. Stir until well mixed. Allow it to simmer. Make sure to stir from time to time.
5. Turn the heat down to medium-low, then put the pork chops back to the pan. Toss until well coated by the gravy.
6. Cover the pan with the lid, then simmer the pork chops for about 10 minutes.
7. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the pork chops to sit for another 5 minutes.
8. Serve with roasted veggies and mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
