To all Prime rib lovers out there, you need to give this one a try! Feel free to add more ingredients if you wish. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
7 pounds beef prime rib (bone-in) boned and tied
3 1/2 tsp sea salt divided
1/2 tablespoon black pepper freshly ground
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves, minced from 1 sprig or 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, minced from 1-2 sprigs, or 1/4 tsp dried thyme
6 garlic cloves finely chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
Step 1: Season with 2 tablespoons of salt the meat.
Step 2: Cover the meat with plastic wrap and allow it to sit for 3 hours at room temperature.
Step 3: Prepare the oven and preheat to 250 degrees C or 500 degrees F. Place the rack on the low part.
Step 4: Add the minced rosemary, minced thyme leaves, olive oil, chopped garlic, salt, and pepper in a small mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.
Step 5: Use paper towels to pat dry the roast. Season all sides with garlic rub.
Step 6: Put the roast into a roasting pan.
Step 7: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes.
Step 8: Turn the heat down to 325 degrees F and bake for more until cooked to your preferred doneness.
Step 9: Remove the roast from the oven and let it sit onto a cutting board. Allow it to sit for about 30 minutes.
Step 10: Slice into small pieces.
Step 11: Serve and enjoy!
