The texture of the brie and the rich flavour of the cranberry sauce will surely satisfy your cravings today! Feel free to add more ingredients to this simple recipe if you want. Enjoy!
1 bread boule round loaf of rustic bread
1 wheel of brie about 12 oz, top of rind removed (use triple cream if you can)
1/2 c whole berry cranberry sauce
2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
2 tbsp olive oil
Fresh ground pepper
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Cut the top quarter of the bread.
Step 3: Trace a circle around the bread and scoop out the centre.
Step 4: Cut around the sides about 1.5-inches apart, then cut it about 3/4. Make sure not to cut it all the way.
Step 5: Brush with olive oil the inside of the bread and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
Step 6: Sprinkle ½ of the thyme and put the brie wheel in the middle, then sprinkle more thyme on top.
Step 7: Spoon the cranberry sauce on top of the brie.
Step 8: Place the bread inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
Step 9: Remove from the oven.
1. Make sure to use a triple cream brie for this recipe.
2. You can use store-bought cranberry sauce for this recipe; just make sure that the berry is whole.
