Ingredients:
20 cloves garlic, peeled
1/2 c Asiago cheese (or Parmesan), grated
1 tbsp oil
2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 tsp dry thyme)
1 1/2 lbs. bone-in and skin-on chicken thighs (4-6 thighs)
salt and pepper to taste
1 c chicken broth
2 tbsp flour
salt and pepper to taste
1 onion, diced
Directions:
1. Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
2. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
3. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken, then toss until well coated.
4. Add the chicken into the skillet, then cook for 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Transfer onto a clean plate.
5. In the same skillet, add garlic and onion. Sauté until soft and aromatic.
6. Add flour and thyme, then cook for about a minute to remove the raw taste.
7. Pour in the broth, then stir until well blended. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the browned bits.
8. Add Asiago, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
9. Put the chicken back into the skillet, then toss until well coated with the delicious sauce.
10. Reduce the heat to medium-low, then cover the skillet. Cook the chicken for about 15 minutes.
11. Serve and enjoy!
