Ingredients:
Meatballs:
2 lbs Lean Ground Beef
2/3 c Seasoned Breadcrumbs
2 tsp Ground Mustard
2 tsp Beef Bouillon Granules
4-5 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
1 tbsp Ketchup
Salt and Pepper, to taste
Gravy:
1 medium Onion, diced
8 oz white mushrooms, sliced (can sub two 3-ounce cans of mushrooms)
32 oz Beef Broth
4 dashes Worcestershire
1 tbsp Ketchup
2 tsp Kitchen Bouquet
3 tbsp of Corn Starch dissolved in 3 tbsp water
Salt & Pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Add the ground beef and the rest of the ingredients for the meat into a large mixing bowl. Use your clean hands to mix everything.
2. Form meatballs out of the mixture.
3. Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
4. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
5. Add the meatballs and cook each side until brown. Remove them from the skillet.
6. Discard any excess grease from the skillet.
7. Add 2 tbsp of butter and allow it to melt.
8. Add the onions and sauté for about 10 minutes or until translucent and golden brown.
9. Add the mushrooms and cook until soft.
10. Turn the heat down to medium, then add Worcestershire sauce, beef stock, and ketchup. Stir until well blended. Simmer everything for 10 minutes.
11. Add the cornstarch mixture and stir until well blended and thick.
12. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
13. Put the meatballs back to the skillet and stir until just mixed.
14. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 30 minutes.
15. Serve and enjoy!
Note:
Serve these meatballs with rice or mashed potatoes.
