4 c oyster crackers
3/4 c butter
3/4 c brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla paste or extract
1 tsp kosher salt
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Line with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray on a baking sheet.
Step 3: Arrange the crackers onto the prepared baking sheet.
Step 4: Place a large pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 5: Add the butter and allow it to melt.
Step 6: Add in the vanilla and brown sugar. Stir until well mixed and the sugar has dissolved completely.
Step 7: Adjust the heat up and allow the mixture to boil.
Step 8: Stir and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes or until bubbly and aromatic.
Step 9: Remove from the heat and pour the mixture over the crackers.
Step 10: Stir until well combined and coated.
Step 11: Sprinkle kosher salt on top.
Step 12: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until done.
Step 13: Remove from the oven and let the crackers sit at room temperature to cool.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
Place any leftovers in an airtight container and put it inside the fridge.
