Smothered Salisbury Steak Meatballs

by Sheryl December 12, 2020

These divine meatballs have been the highlight of my day! I found the recipe yesterday and I am so glad that I gave it a try because I never would have tasted perfection! If you are looking for a dish to serve for lunch or dinner, then this recipe is a must-try! Feel free to add more ingredients if you wish. The sauce alone of these meatballs is more than enough for me. Serve these over rice and you have yourself a meal to remember. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1.5 lb ground chuck
Salt & pepper
Garlic powder
Worcestershire sauce about 5 tablespoons or more to taste
1 large onion; sliced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 packet brown gravy mix
1 1/3 c cold water

Directions:

Step 1: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Step 2: Add in the ground chunk, cook, and break into large pieces.

Step 3: Press the chunk to hold them together when making meatballs.

Step 4: Season each meatball with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Step 5: Cook the meat in the middle of the skillet and spread the onions on the side, then season with salt and pepper.

Step 6: Add in 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce and sear the meat on both sides until brown.

Step 7: Push the meat and onions on the side and add in flour. Cook the flour for 1 to 2 minutes.

Step 8: In a small mixing bowl, add in the water, gravy mix, and 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce. Stir until well combined.

Step 9: Add the mixture into the skillet and stir until well combined.

Step 10: Cover the skillet and cook for 15 minutes on low heat until done.

Step 11: Remove from the heat.

Step 12: Serve hot and enjoy!
