Ingredients:
For the Hamburger Steak Patties:
1 tsp garlic powder
6 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
1/2 tsp fresh black pepper
1 large Egg
1 large onion, diced
3 tbsp olive oil
1-1/2 lbs. of ground beef
1 c all-purpose flour
1 tsp of seasoned salt
1/4 c bread crumbs
For the Brown Onion, Mushroom Gravy:
1/2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Gravy master (orange top)
2 c of freshly sliced mushrooms
1/4 tsp seasoning salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 c of water
1/4 c of all-purpose flour
1 large onion, chopped
1 c of beef broth
Directions:
1. Add the patty ingredients into a mixing bowl except for the flour and olive oil. Stir until well mixed.
2. Shape the mixture into 4 to 6 even patties.
3. Add flour into a mixing bowl. Coat each patty with flour. Shake off any excess.
4. Put a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
5. Add olive oil and let it sizzle.
6. Add the patties, then cook each side for a few minutes until they turn brown. Remove everything from the skillet.
7. Add 1 tbsp of water and onions into the skillet, then cook for a few minutes until they caramelize.
8. Add to a mixing bowl, gravy master, seasoning salt, 1/4 cups flour, Worcestershire sauce, water, salt, pepper, and broth. Stir until well blended.
9. Pour the mixture into the skillet, then stir until well mixed. Simmer for a few minutes until the texture becomes thick.
10. Add the patties into the skillet, then toss until well coated. Simmer for a few minutes.
11. Add the mushroom slices into the skillet, then stir until well mixed,
12. Turn the heat down to low, then simmer everything for about 20 minutes or until done.
13. Serve and enjoy!
