Ingredients
3 tbsp vegetable oil

1 14-ounce can of beef broth
1 envelope beefy onion soup mix (such as Lipton)
2 tbsp cornstarch
1 c. water, divided
Salt & pepper
How to make Stewed Beef (Beef Tips) with Gravy
Step 1: In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. In the meantime, season the stew meat with salt and pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the stew meat to the skillet and sear for about 3 to 4 minutes, stirring once or twice. Set aside when done.
Step 2: Place the beef broth, onion soup mix, and half c water in a medium-sized stock pot. Mix well, then add the stew meat. Stir and put the lid on. Cook for about 1 to 2 hours on low heat. Make sure not to let the pot reach a full boil to prevent the meat from getting tough.
Step 3: Into a small bowl, whisk the cornstarch with half a c of water until smooth. Stir this into the mixture in the pot. Bring everything to a low simmer, stirring constantly. Cook for another minute or until the broth has thickened into a gravy.
Step 4: Serve the beef tips over egg noodles or white rice. Enjoy!
