Sticky Chicken Wings

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 1 hr 5 mins | Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins | Yield: 6 Servings

Chicken wings, more like angel wings! Yeah, these amazing treats taste like heaven!

Ingredients:

2-3 lbs Chicken Wings drums and flats separated and wing tips removed (about 24-30 wing pieces)
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Garlic Powder
¼ tsp Black Pepper
Cooking Spray

For the sticky barbecue sauce

1½ c Plain Barbecue Sauce use your favourite brand
¼ c Brown Sugar
¼ c Honey
2 tbsp Ketchup
1 tsp Yellow Mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.

Step 2: Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper the chicken wings.

Step 3: Apply cooking spray on a baking sheet.

Step 4: Arrange the seasoned chicken wings onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5: Place the chicken wings inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes.

Step 6: Remove the wings from the oven.

Step 7: Line the cooling rack with a baking sheet.

Step 8: Apply cooking spray on the cooling rack.

Step 9: Place the chicken wings onto the cooling rack and arrange them in a single layer.

Step 10: Bake the chicken wings for about 15 minutes.

To Make the Sauce:

Step 1: In a saucepan, add the barbecue sauce, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.

Step 2: Place the pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Stir and cook the mixture.

Step 3: Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for about 5 minutes. Make sure to stir from time to time to prevent the sauce from burning.

Step 4: Reserve about 3/4 of the sauce for later use.

Coating the Chicken Wings:

Step 1: Generously brush the chicken wings with the sauce.

Step 2: Put them back inside the oven and bake for 5 more minutes.

Step 3: Remove the chicken wings from the oven flip them and brush the other sides with the sauce.

Step 4: Put them back inside the oven and bake for 5 more minutes.

Step 5: Remove from the oven and transfer the chicken wings on a clean serving plate.

Step 6: Serve with the reserved sauce. Enjoy!
