Ingredients:
1 Duncan Hines Butter Golden Cake Mix
1 Stick of Butter
3 large eggs
1 1/3 cups Brown Sugar
1 20 ounces Can Pineapple Rings
1 20 ounces Can Crushed Pineapple
1 Sm Jar Maraschino Cherries
7 tablespoons of butter, softened
Directions:
Step 1: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to low.
Step 2: Add 1 stick of butter and allow it to melt.
Step 3: Remove the skillet from the heat and add 1 1/3 cup of brown sugar. Stir until well mixed.
Step 4: Slice the pineapple and drain the juice.
Step 5: Add 1/3 of the crushed into the skillet with the butter-sugar mixture.
Step 6: Arrange the rings in a circular form on the sides of the skillet and put one in the middle.
Step 7: Top each ring with a maraschino cherry.
Step 8: In another mixing bowl, add the cake mix, 3 eggs, softened butter, water, and 1/2 cup of the pineapple juice. Stir until well combined.
Step 9: Add the rest of the crushed pineapples and stir until well combined.
Step 10: Transfer the batter over the pineapple rings and carefully spread it.
Step 11: Place it inside the oven and bake for 85 minutes at 325 degrees F.
Step 12: Remove the skillet from the oven and put an ovenproof plate on top of the skillet, then invert the cake.
Step 13: Remove the skillet and allow the cake to cool at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
