Try this recipe and you have yourself a snack to remember! Serve these heavenly biscuits with your favourite cup of coffee. Oh, man, you are so in for a treat! Have a great day, friends. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 cup cold butter
1 cup cold buttermilk
extra butter for brushing biscuits

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 250 degrees C or 485 degrees F.

Step 2: In a medium bowl, sift together all the dry ingredients.

Step 3: Cut the butter into small cubes and add them into the flour. Rub each to create small and large peas.

Step 4: In a medium mixing bowl, add the flour and buttermilk. Stir until well mixed and forms into a dough.

Step 5: Knead the dough until well moulded.

Step 6: Make sure to add more milk if the texture of the dough becomes too sticky.

Step 7: Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and lay the dough on it. Fold the dough 3 times, then push.

Step 8: Use your hands to flatten the dough to about 3/4-inch thickness.

Step 9: Use a biscuit cutter to slice the dough.

Step 10: Apply cooking spray in a baking sheet.

Step 11: Arrange the biscuits into the prepared baking sheet.

Step 12: Brush each top of the biscuit with melted butter.

Step 13: Place the baking sheet inside the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until brown.

Step 14: brush each biscuit again with melted butter.

Step 15: Serve hot and enjoy!

Note:

These biscuits are best served with gravy, honey, or jam!
