Ingredients:
24 oz. jar of spaghetti sauce, any flavour
1 tsp garlic salt
1 lb. hamburger meat
16 oz. carton of sour cream
16 oz. bag of shredded cheese (cheddar, Colby-jack, mozzarella, etc.) (mix and match the flavours as you would like to equal 16 ounces)
1 envelope of thick and zesty dry spaghetti sauce mix
12 oz. package of medium Egg noodles, cooked
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
2. Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
3. Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
4. Add 1 teaspoon of garlic and hamburger meat, then cook until brown and aromatic. Discard any excess grease. Set aside.
5. In a large bowl, add the hamburger meat, jar of spaghetti, and spaghetti sauce. Stir everything until well combined.
6. Add about 1/3 of the cooked noodles into the prepared casserole dish and spread it evenly.
7. Add about 1/3 of the meat mixture on top of the noodles and spread it evenly.
8. Add about 1/3 of the sour cream over the meat mixture and spread it evenly.
9. Sprinkle 1/2 of the cheese over the sour cream.
10. Repeat the process until everything is arranged in layers ending with a generous amount of cheese.
11. Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until done.
12. Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
13. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to use your preferred type of cheese for this recipe.
